ETS-Paraprofessional Assessment (Computer Based Test)
The ParaPro Assessment measures the reading, writing and basic math competencies of practicing and prospective paraprofessionals. In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act, the ParaPro Assessment can be used to certify teacher’s aides and assistants in the instruction of these subjects to school children.
The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that offers certification for paraprofessionals. It also offers an objective assessment of a prospective teacher’s requisite foundation of knowledge and skills and the ability to effectively use those skills in the classroom.
The ParaPro CBT consists of 90 multiple choice questions. You are allowed 2 ½ hours to complete this test.
Candidates can retake the ParaPro in 21 days.

Please call the Testing Office at (520) 621-7589 to schedule and pay for your exam.
An official report will be sent to you from ETS. Since the Testing Office is part of the University, an official test report cannot be issued on the date of the test.
Accommodations For Candidates With Disabilities
If you will require extra time or assistance taking the ParaPro, you will be given a non-standard administration. Please refer to the official ETS website on how to request accommodations and to access the printable Accommodations Request Form.
There is no additional charge for special accommodations, but you must notify the Testing Office of your accommodations before your test date.
