ALEKS
First semester students who need Math 105 or Phil 110 to satisfy the Math requirement for their major can take a proctored ALEKS test. A score of 60% or higher will satisfy the G-strand, or Math 105 requirement. Generally, the Prep for College Algebra test is used, but students can also take the Prep for Calculus ALEKS test.
- This test is only administered through the UA Testing Office. It must be taken in the Old Main Building, Room 223 proctored lab.

- Students have 2 chances to take the proctored test to satisfy the G-strand math requirement.
- The test is not timed, but students should plan on testing for up to two hours or longer.
- A calculator is provided in the ALEKS system. Students cannot use their own calculator on this test.
